9Lana, Jim Bob | Coast Is Clear

9Lana «Tsudzurao / Nine tails» – So far I have rarely mentioned Ado, Japan's young superstar, in my blog, although they even released my album of the year last year. I am a big fan now, was at her sensational concert in Berlin in June and will also bring 2 ado specials in my radio broadcast (from November). In any case, it is astonishing to see how Ado has a significant impact on young Japanese singers with her only 22 years and inspires her expressive style many artists.

So also 9lana (spoken “Kürana”), about which you know very little. Like Ado, it is anonymous, like ADO she is so-called Utaite, i.e. covers of vocaloid songs, but she also works on her own songs like ADO. These are colorful and very Japanese, and are carried by their expressive voice. So also with your new single, which I think is pretty great. I often wanted to introduce music from Japan here, which is not so compatible with western hearing habits, and 9lana corresponds to it. 🙂

Jim Bob «A Song By Me» – The British singer Jim Bob, on the other hand, is much older and established, once active at Carter USM, who still writes and publishes good songs. Recently two albums, “automatic” and “stick”, and on the latter this is great song.
