Adam Driver (Marriage Story, Father Mother Sister Brother) already has his next project in his sights. And it will be one that brings it to the small screen.

According to reports from Deadline, the actor has just joined the television series that was just acquired by Netflix, Rabbit, Rabbit.

The promising series, a kidnapping crime drama described as similar to Dog Day Afternoonis acquired by the platform after great interest from the industry. The streamer has directly given it the green light for broadcast as a full season.

Rabbit, Rabbit It takes place at a truck stop in southern Illinois. When an escaped convict is cornered by the police at the stop, he takes hostages to try to negotiate his freedom. But the standoff soon turns into an uncontrollable social experiment with his captives, plus a tense negotiation with a veteran FBI crisis negotiator trained in “tactical empathy.”

Philip Barantini will be the director. Barantini directed the acclaimed British series Adolescencein single take style. The script was written by Peter Craigscreenwriter of Top Gun: Maverick and creator of the Apple series, Dope Thief.

Production on the series could begin in 2026.

MRC TV (Ozark) produces the series with Craig's Night Owl. Craig and Bryan Unkeless are executive producers alongside Barantini, Samantha Beddoe and Adam Driver.
