“I've always wondered what you would taste like.”,” we hear Pennywise reveal in the trailer.
In the first few episodes we've seen Pennywise take on other terrifying forms, preparing the audience for the eventual arrival of his most iconic form as the scary dancing clown.
In the preview we also see a shot of a burning building that could very well be the fire in Black Spot which is described in King's novels. This is one of several horrible events that Mike Hanlon recounts in his story of Derry, on which the series is based; It is also an event that marks the end of the creature's cycle.

Welcome to Derry takes us back to the place where THAT beganlocating its plot in 1962in the period preceding the events of IT: Chapter One (2017).
This includes the origin story of Pennywise the Clownas well as the dawn of the 27 year curse that stalks the small town of Maine.
The inspiration is the interludes written by Mike Hanlon in the novel by Stephen Kingwhich document “catastrophic events” from the past of Derry, Maine.
Three seasons are planned for the series that They will take place in different times: 1962, 1935 and 1908, respectively in that order.
