Ladytron «I See Red» – The British quartet had their wedding in the 2000s and early 2010s, when they regularly brought hits like “Destroy everything you touch” and “International Dateline” to the indie dance floors. Their Kraftwerk/Depeche Mode-inspired electropop had also inspired me for many years. Things had become quiet around the band lately and there were only sporadic signs of life, but I didn't find them all that convincing. The new single is now back to the typical Ladytron sound – of course that's not new at all and works more through nostalgia, but I think the song is very successful.

CYNHN «It's okay now» – This idol group from Japan is in a different league in terms of style and complexity. They belong to the so-called “alternative/underground idol” area, in which the musical acts are much more innovative and courageous than the very shallow (and unfortunately much more successful) mainstream idols. CYNHN has been around for 3 years, and their new single is a nice example of typical Japanese “J-Pop” music today. There's a lot going on that makes it so exciting for me.
