'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' advances its theatrical release two weeks

The new level of play will be reached sooner than expected.

Searchlight Pictures the theatrical release was brought forward two weeks of Ready or Not 2: Here I Comefor March 27, 2026ruling out the original April 10 release.

Moving up its release date is a clear sign of the confidence Searchlight Pictures has in the sequel.

The sequel to the 2019 horror hit, Ready or Nottitled in our region bloody wedding 2features the return of Samara Weaving like the final girl, Grace, fighting once again for her life, with the appearance of new threats, and new alliances.

The plot follows Grace after the events of her unforgettable wedding night. She thinks she's safe… but the sadistic games aren't over..

Tyler Gillett y Matt Bettinelli-Olpin They return as directors, along with the return of the co-writers Guy Busick y R. Christopher Murphy.

Weaving surrounds himself with a new cast that includes Kathryn Newton (Abigail, Freaky) playing Grace's sister, Sarah Michelle Gellar (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2), Elijah Wood (The Monkey, The Lord of the Rings), Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt, The Faculty), Nestor Carbonell (The Morning Show, Shogun), Kevin Durand (Abigail), and to the delight of all horror genre film buffs, the filmmaker specializing in the horror genre, David Cronenberg (The Fly).

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“Moments after surviving a ruthless attack by the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she has reached the next level of the nightmarish game, and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) by her side. Grace has a chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Council Seat that controls the world. Four rival families are after her for the throne, and whoever wins will rule all.”

Filming wrapped last June, with the project in post-production right now.

The original delivery of 2019, bloody weddingrevolves around Grace (Weaving), a young woman who joins her new husband's very rich and eccentric family. During the wedding night he is asked to participate in a family tradition that quickly turns into a deadly game of kill or be killed.

It had a worldwide box office of $57 million against a budget of just $6 million.

Gillet and Bettinelli-Olpin advanced the first details about the sequel to People saying that the sequel “goes hand in hand with the first in an unexpected but fluid way. It's exciting to see Grace in a complicated new situation that deepens her story and her character, and we wanted to make sure this movie wasn't just more of the same. We put a lot of love into it to make it a worthy sequel that we hope fans of the first film, and those meeting it for the first time, will love.”
