Lionsgate revealed the first official trailer of the gothic horror story The Dreadfulwhich brings together the stars of Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner y Kit Haringtonfor the first time since the series ended in 2019.
The actors, best known for playing siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in the epic HBO series, now play a couple.
The project based on the classic 1964 Japanese horror film Onibabamoves the story to medieval England, where we follow Anne (Turner), who lives on the fringes of medieval English society with her mother-in-law, Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden). The arrival of a man from Anne's past, a mysterious gentleman played by Harington, unleashes a curse on the two women who live on the periphery of society. This triggers events that will become a turning point for Anne.

Natasha Kermani writes and directs the feature film. The filmmaker has made other horror projects such as Abraham’s Boy y Luckyas well as a segment of V/H/S/85 (2023).
The cast also includes Laurence O’Fuarian y Jonathan Howard.
The film is set during the Wars of the Roses, the tumultuous period in the 15th century when two rival houses fought for control of the English monarchy. If this sounds vague to you, perhaps it's because that same conflict also served as inspiration for Game of Thrones.
Producers are Turner, Adam G. Simon, Bull Blumenthal, Luke Daniels, Patrick Hibler, Lucas Jarach, and Greg Lauritano.
