Phantom Siita «Rose-coloured moon» – Today I want to introduce you to an idol group that I have already mentioned in my annual charts – Phantom Siita, who are coached and produced by Japan's superstar Ado and whose concept is retro horror. They therefore belong to the category of “dark idols”, who have little to do with the classic brightly colored and harmless mainstream pop idols. So far they have released about a dozen songs, and they are all completely different. Sometimes very melodic, sometimes crazy, but always interesting and with pop appeal. The new track “Rose-colored moon”, which is accompanied by a great video, is a really wild journey through styles and is maximally Japanese, especially in terms of the jazzy elements. It warms my heart to see/hear that it's possible to make pop that is bold and still be successful.

The Capsules «Machines» – definitely not wild, but a classic indie guitar sound comes from the US band The Capsules, who play with dream pop and shoegaze elements in their music. A new album is also scheduled to be released this year.
