Steven Spielberg returns this year to the science fiction and UFO genre, with the film titled Disclosure Dayo The day of revelation.

Extraterrestrials have been a topic addressed by the iconic filmmaker in previous projects such as the acclaimed Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), E.T. (1982), y War of the Worlds (2005). Now, it's time to explore them once again.

With a theatrical release scheduled for June, Universal Pictures debuts the first full trailer from the original UFO project starring Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Josh O’Connor (Challengers, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), y Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).

Blunt plays a meteorologist who, along with O'Connor's character, discovers that something strange is happening in the world; while Firth plays a high-profile personality who wants to stop information from entering the public domain.

All this information is expanded in the first full trailer, lasting more than two minutes.

The preview begins with O'Connor's character revealing to Hewson's character that he stole government secrets that he was paid to protect. Taking a look at the information obtained by O'Connor, Hewson asks him a simple but terrifying question: “Are they people?”to which he answers “No”.

The Kansas City meteorologist played by Blunt is giving the weather report when she starts speaking in some kind of alien language; a language that O'Connor's character can understand.

The trailer doesn't reveal too much about the plot, but it offers enough stunning visuals and top-notch performances to excite any movie buff. Domingo and Firth appear, the first looking for the truth about what is happening, the second in a position of authority, and perhaps an antagonistic role, who seems to know much more than everyone, and who here sees himself capable of appearing where he is not and moving another person's body from a distance.

The title – in both English and Spanish – also gives us a clue as to what this is all about: O'Connor and all the allies he can muster want to reveal the truth about the aliens to the whole world; Firth stands directly in their way, committed to secrecy, lest the revelation “disturb the whole established order throughout the world.”

Take a look at the trailer at the end of the note.
