With the commercial success of the thriller The Housemaidin your favor, Lionsgate The development of a sequel continues, for which an important addition has just been made to its cast.
The studio signed Kirsten Dunst (Civil War, Roofman) to join the returns of the protagonist Sydney Sweeney, Michele Morronethe director Paul Feig and the screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine (via Deadline).
Sonnenshine will adapt the second novel of Freida McFadden's literary trilogy, published in 2023 and titled The Housemaid’s Secretsame title that will be used for the sequel.
Production is expected to begin this year.
