This week, Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films will release the long-awaited live-action of Masters of the Universe.

Studios continue to prepare the audience for the release of the director's film Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings), sharing a handful of official posters, which They promote the premiere in premium formats such as Dolby Cinema, D-BOX and 4DX, HDR by Barco, as well as posters that will be distributed in chains such as AMC Theaters and Regal Cinemas in the United States, and a more exclusive one from Fandango.

Wilson (House of the Dragon) like Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson (The Northman) as Goat Man, Kojo Attah (In the Grey) as Tri-Klops, Skeletor's henchmen, Jon Xue Zhang (The Brothers Sun) as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata (SNL, Agatha All Along) as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola (Queenpins) like Hussein.

In the live-action of Masters of the universe:

“After 15 years apart, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Galitzine) back to Eternia, where he discovers that his home has been destroyed by the evil rule of Skeletor (Leto).

To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Mendes) and Duncan/Man-at-Arms (Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.”

Knight directs the script written by Chris Butler. There was previously a draft script written by David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee.

The film is based on the popular and well-known Mattel toy franchise launched in 1982. In the 1980s it had an animated series lasting two seasons and 130 episodes, while in 1987 it was adapted for the first time to the big screen in live action, starring Dolph Lundgren. Over time, animated series have had numerous reboots.

Producers are Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin, with executive producers Ynon Kreiz, Bill Bannerman, and David Bloomfield.
