From 'Off Campus' to 'The Housemaid's Secret': Stephen Kalyn Joins Sequel Cast

There is already a new cast member confirmed for the sequel The Housemaid’s Secret of Paul Feig y Lionsgate.

After quickly achieving fame with his breakout role in the series Off Campus, Stephen Kalyn has joined the cast of the sequel to the hit thriller The Housemaid (2025), according to reports from Variety.

The actor joins the returns of the protagonist Sydney Sweeney like Millie and Michele Morrone like Enzo, as well as the new additions: Kirsten Dunst (Civil War, Roofman), Paul Anthony Kelly (Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette) y Brittany Snow (The Hunting Wives, Pitch Perfect).

In The Housemaid’s SecretMillie Calloway (Sweeney) returns to work as a housekeeper for a woman she is never allowed to see, only to discover the truth behind the closed door that threatens to reveal secrets much darker than her own.

Dunst will play the mysterious Mrs. Wendy Garrick, Kelly will play Douglas Garrick, Millie's employer, and Snow will play Marybeth, a low-key receptionist at Mr. Garrick's company.

Kalyn will play Brock, Millie's lawyer boyfriend, who is completely unaware of her criminal past.

In addition to starring Off Campusthe actor has participated in projects such as Gen V, Cruel Intentions y Motorheads.

Production is expected to begin this year.

The sequel will be directed again by Feig, with screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine returning to adapt the second book of Freida McFadden's successful trilogy, published in 2023.

Lionsgate launched the sequel in January of this year, following the commercial success in theaters achieved by the first installment in December 2025, which grossed a global box office of $395 million.

Todd Lieberman will produce with Hidden Pictures; Feig with Pretty Dangerous Pictures with his partner Laura Fischer; and Sweeney with Fifty-Fifty Films. Cary Elter and Alex Young will executive produce.

Sweeney executive produced the first installment, along with her co-star, Amanda Seyfried.

The novels of The Housemaid They have sold more than 12 million copies; The Housemaid’s Secret It has sold four million. Translated into 40 languages, the book has been a New York Times bestseller for 75 weeks and counting. It also broke the record of 500 million pages read on Kindle and is the second most read title on Kindle's 10th anniversary, only behind the series Harry Potter. McFadden published the third book in the series, The Housemaid Is Watchingin 2024.

Lionsgate has officially acquired the rights to all three books in the McFadden saga, as well as an additional short story released in 2024, so this likely won't be the last we see of Millie and her sadistic employers.

The studio set the theatrical release of The Housemaid’s Secret for him December 17, 2027.
