As part of the promotion of the upcoming video game, Halloween: The Game, the original trilogy Halloween will have a long-awaited re-release in theaters.
Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981) y Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) will return to select AMC Theaters for three consecutive days:
- September 4: Halloween (1978)
- September 5: Halloween II (1981)
- September 6: Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
The screenings give way to the launch of the video game on September 8.
John Carpenter's original 1978 film marks the debut of Michael Myers, who has spent the last 15 years confined to a sanatorium under the care of child psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis, after brutally murdering his sister, Judith. On the night of October 30, 1978, Myers escapes and returns to Haddonfield, transforming an evening of candy and mischief into something much more sinister for three young women, including Laurie Strode, the role that launched Jamie Lee Curtis to fame.
The sequel Halloween IIpicks up the story on the same night as the events of the first film, as Dr. Loomis searches for Michael Myers, a traumatized Laurie is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, with Michael watching closely.
Finally, Halloween III: Season of the Witchis the installment of the franchise famous for not featuring Michael Myers at all, so it marks a rare occasion to see it on the big screen. Its plot focuses on children across the United States who want Silver Shamrock masks for Halloween, while Dr. Daniel Challis tries to uncover a conspiracy hatched by Conal Cochran, the owner of Silver Shamrock.
Tickets for the performances can be obtained through the official AMC Theaters websites.
