We already have the first official preview of The Beekeeper 2 shared this morning by Amazon MGM Studioswhich shows us just a part of the frenetic action that awaits us.
It is the sequel to the action thriller The Beekeeper (2024), with the return of the protagonist Jason Stathamnow under the direction of Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2).
The plot of the first film, directed by David Ayer, follows Adam Clay (Statham) a retired human intelligence agent who sets out to exact revenge after his kind landlady becomes the victim of a phishing scam that steals millions of dollars from a charity she runs.
The sequel will follow Adam, now a wanted man and former government assassin, as he continues his revenge against those who wronged him.
According to the synopsis, Statham will return to play Adam Clay, “a retired clandestine intelligence agent who seeks revenge after his kind landlady falls victim to a phishing scam in which millions of dollars are stolen from a charity she runs.”
Jeremy Irons He will also return in the role of Wallace Westwyld, former CIA director and current head of security at Danforth Enterprises.

In addition to Statham and Irons, the cast includes Pom Klementieff (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Avengers: Endgame), Adam Copeland (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), and other returns such as those of Jemma Redgrave y Emmy Raver-Lampman.
Tjahjanto directs the script written by Kurt Wimmerscreenwriter of the first film. Yesterday, director of the original, could not take charge of the sequel due to commitments with the filming of The Heart of the Beast from Paramount Pictures, currently in theaters.
