Cillian Murphy and Jack O'Connell to play brothers in 'A Quiet Place 3'

The horror franchise A Quiet Place from the screenwriter, director and producer John Krasinski and the study Paramount Picturesis preparing everything for its third installment, A Quiet Place Part III.

The sequel A quiet place 3 The returns of the leading trio from the first two films are assured, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Skirty Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer, 28 Days Later), who joined in the second installment.

They are joined by new additions such as Jack O’Connell (Sinners, 28 Years Later), Jason Clarke (A House of Dynamite) y Katy O’Brian (The Running Man, Twisters).

At the moment the details about the roles of the newcomers to the franchise remain completely silent, however, O'Connell shared an important news.

Speaking to Collider, O'Connell – who has become one of the favorites of horror cinema after his participation in films such as the Oscar-winning Sinners y 28 Years Later–, revealed that will play Murphy's character's brother in the third installment of A Quiet Place. The actor also shared that the sequel will continue to explore the importance of family.

“A Quiet Placeit felt like a family. It's about family, obviously. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are in it, and Cillian and I play two brothers. There was a real family atmosphere in that film. It was great, really. But horror movies are taking over. Audiences flock to see horror movies. So it's fantastic. Yes, it's incredible.”

Murphy plays Emmett, a man who lost his wife and children when the alien invasion came to our world, leaving him isolated from the rest of the world, until he met Evelyn Abbott (Blunt) and her children in the sequel released in theaters in 2021.

Both the first installment in 2018 and the 2021 sequel were directed by Krasinski, in addition to being the co-writer and executive producer of the first, screenwriter and producer of the second, and producer of the spinoff, A Quiet Place: Day One (2024).

The plot of the original installment titled A silent place in our region, it takes place on a farm isolated from all civilization in the United States, where the Abbott family (Krasinski, Blunt, Simmonds y Skirt) seeks to survive the harassment of monstrous presences. The Abbotts, at all costs and at all times, they must remain silent to protect yourself of the predators that stalk the forests.

The sequel A silent place Part II It resumes its plot moments after the conclusion of its predecessor, also exploring how society collapsed after the arrival of the mysterious and monstrous creatures. The global box office for both films and the 2024 spinoff total more than $900 million worldwide.

The third installment will be produced by Krasinski along with Allyson Seeger of Sunday Night Production and Platinum Dunes.

Paramount plans to theatrical release A Quiet Place 3 to July 30, 2027.
