Ingredients
2 Japanese style cucumbers
1 cup (tea) of sugar
1 cup rice vinegar (rice vinegar)
1 tablespoon shoyu sauce
1 tablespoon salt
Directions
- Cut the cucumbers into thin slices with a knife or slicer and transfer to a colander.
Add the salt and mix well.
Set aside for about 15 minutes for the cucumbers to dehydrate. - In a pan add the sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce and bring to a boil.
Mix well while cooking and turn off the heat when boiling.
Book and wait to cool down at room temperature. - Wash the dehydrated cucumbers well under running water to remove all the salt.
Put the cucumbers in a container and add the broth at room temperature.
Let it soak for approximately 40 minutes and the sunomono is ready to serve.
