Universal Pictures has been hard at work this week on the marketing campaign for the apocalyptic horror thriller Knock at the Cabinwhich will mark the release of the fifteenth feature film in the filmmaker’s filmography M. Night Shyamalan.
In anticipation of its premiere in theaters on February 3, 2023the studio releases a new promotional poster, titled in this market as knock at the doorin which we see four people surround a cabin that appears on a smaller scale with respect to the subjects.

Meanwhile, we bring you up to date with everything you need to know about Shyamalan’s new project. The filmmaker is in charge of the direction, production and the script, which he wrote with Steve Desmond y Michael Shermanbased on the bestseller “The Cabin at the End of the World” by Paul Tremblay.
The subgenre movie “home invasion” that takes place during the apocalypse, It has a cast headed by dave bautista (Army of the Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy), Rupert Grint (Servant), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old), Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth) y Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter, Matrix Resurrections) make up the main cast.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“While vacationing at a remote cabin, a girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand the family make an unthinkable decision to prevent the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe in before all is lost.”
In recent days, the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the body in charge of granting the rating of films by age throughout the United States, who have given it a great Rated R for:
“Violence and language.”
This is just the second Shyamalan film to be Rated Rthe other being The Happening (2008). The rest of his filmography are Rated PG-13 projects.
Knock at the Cabin is a Universal Pictures and Blinding Edge Pictures production, in association with FilmNation Features and Wishmore Entertainment. Other producers include Marc Bienstock (Glass, Split), and Ashwin Rajan (Servant, Glass). Executive producers are Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, and Ashley Fox.
Apparently, this would be the second feature film in the agreement signed with Universal Pictures in September 2019, through which Shyamalan committed to the studio to develop and direct two original thrillers. The first of them was the one starring Gael García BernalOldreleased in theaters in 2021.
