Ingredients
1 whole egg
1 tablespoon cake yeast
1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of mimoso cornmeal
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 tablespoons cornstarch
6 tablespoons of sugar
Directions
- In a container add the sugar, egg, butter or margarine and mix well.
- Add the cornstarch, cornmeal, yeast and mix again, kneading with clean hands.
- Take portions of the dough with the help of a spoon and shape the cookies with the desired size and shape.
- Place the cookies with space between them on a greased and floured baking sheet (press them lightly with a fork to make streaks if you prefer).
- Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
- After removing them from the oven, wait for them to cool down before taking them out of the mold and the cornmeal cookies are ready.
