Ingredients
2 cups of sour sprinkle
1 cup cooked and mashed sweet potato
1/2 cup of sweet sprinkle
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup plant-based milk (such as almond, soy, or oat milk)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional, for a cheesy flavor)
1 teaspoon of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, combine the sour tapioca, sweet tapioca, salt and nutritional yeast (if using).
- In a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil, water and vegetable milk until hot but not boiling.
- Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
Mix well with a spoon until you form a homogeneous mass. - Add the mashed sweet potato to the dough and mix until well incorporated.
- With lightly oiled hands, take small portions of the dough and make small balls.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese buns are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
