To prepare your cake in the airfryer you will use the ingredients below and follow the instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • A bit of salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 160°C for 5 minutes.
  • While the air fryer is preheating, prepare the cake batter. 
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, oil and vanilla extract. 
    Mix well.
  • Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Grease a pan that is suitable for an air fryer with oil or butter and pour the cake batter into it.
  • Place the mold with the dough in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 160°C in the air fryer for around 25-30 minutes. 
    Check after 25 minutes by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake. 
    If it comes out clean, the cake is ready; 
    otherwise, continue cooking for a few more minutes.
  • When the cake is ready, remove the pan from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
  • If desired, you can add toppings such as whipped cream, chocolate ganache, fresh fruit, or any other topping you prefer.
