Ingredients

  • 1 can of green corn (without the water)

  • 1/2 cup of oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup cornmeal

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • A bit of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a blender, beat the green corn, oil, eggs and sugar until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Pour the blender mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until a uniform dough forms.
  • Grease a mold with margarine and flour.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden and firm to the touch.
