To make your Simple Chicken Salpicão you will need to use the ingredients below and follow the preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cooked and shredded chicken breasts

  • 1 can of green corn

  • 1 can of peas

  • 1 grated carrot

  • 1 green apple chopped into cubes

  • 1/2 cup raisins

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup of cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Straw potatoes (optional) for topping

Directions

  • Start by cooking the chicken breasts in water with a little salt until they are completely cooked. 
    Let cool and then shred the meat into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, drained corn, drained peas, grated carrot, chopped green apple and raisins.
  • In another bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing the mayonnaise and cream. 
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture and mix well so that all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Refrigerate the salpicão for at least 1 hour before serving. 
    This will allow the flavors to blend and the salad to stay chilled.
  • When serving, you can add straw potatoes on top to add a crunchy touch, if desired.
