Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup of natural yogurt
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups of sugar
3 cups of wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
Pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.Â
Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour. - In a large bowl, beat the eggs until well blended.
- Add yogurt, vegetable oil and sugar to the bowl.Â
Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough. - Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the bowl with the liquid ingredients.Â
Mix until a smooth dough forms. - If desired, add vanilla essence and mix again.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top if desired.
