This breaded onion is great using the ingredients below. 
It will be crispy following the step-by-step instructions!

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 eggs

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Frying oil

Directions

  • Peel the onions and cut them into slices, keeping the rings intact.
  • In a bowl, season the onion slices with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Breading: In a shallow bowl, add the wheat flour. 
    In another shallow bowl, lightly beat the eggs. 
    In a third shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each onion ring in the wheat flour, then in the beaten eggs and, finally, in the breadcrumbs, making sure to coat each ring well.
  • In a pan, heat enough oil to cover the onions over medium heat.
  • When the oil is hot, fry the breaded onions until they are golden and crispy. 
    This usually takes about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove the breaded onions and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve the breaded onions hot, accompanied by a sauce of your choice, such as seasoned mayonnaise, ketchup or barbecue sauce.
