A few days until the theatrical release of the dystopian action drama Civil War from the screenwriter and director Alex Garlandthe independent film studio A24 continues the good marketing campaign of the film that offers a terrifying vision of the near future of the United States.
The plot is set in a dystopian USA where a violent conflict breaks out, dividing the nation. The story revolves around a grim state with 19 of the country's states separated, with the US military stepping up its activity, introducing something known as the “Western Forces” of California and Texas, as well as the “Florida Alliance.”
This notorious division is highlighted in the creative new official poster, which you find at the end of this note.
Garland is the screenwriter and director of Ex Machina, Annihilation, Menand the series Devs.
The cast is headed by Kirsten Dunst (The Power of the Dog, Hidden Figures), Wagner Moura (The Gray Man, Shining Girls, Narcos), y Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Alien: Romulus), playing journalists who travel across the United States documenting a civil war, as well as Nick Offerman (Origin, Devs), Jesse Plemons (Killers of the Flower Moon, The Power of the Dog), Stephen McKinley (Beau is Afraid, Devs), Karl Glusman (The Bikeriders, Watcher) y Sonoya Minuzo (House of the Dragon, Devs, Ex Machina).
