Blumhouse y Universal Pictures They released a new official trailer for their next horror project, Other Mommymarking a new partnership between the studios after the overwhelming success of Obsession.
With a theatrical release scheduled for October, Universal and Blumhouse reveal the latest trailer for Other Mommystarring the Oscar winner Jessica Chastain in double role on his return to terrorafter having tried his luck in the genre with Mama (2013) e IT: Chapter Two (2019). The actress won the Oscar for best actress for The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021).
The plot of the film titled in our region sinister motherfollows Chastain in a dual role as Ursula, who is the mother of a girl named Bela (Arabella Olivia Clark), and also as a kind of paranormal entity that has invaded her home and has adopted the appearance of Úrsula, whom the little girl calls “Other mom.”
The film is directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman), from the script of Nathan Elston (Succession). The script adapts the novel Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman, published in 2025.
The cast also includes Jay Duplass (Dying for Sex), Dichen Lachman (Severance), Arian Moayed (Succession), y Karen Allen (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny).

“Sinister Mother is a terrifying journey into the dark world of a young girl, Bela, who forms a relationship with a sinister entity in her home that looks uncannily like her own mother.”
James Wan is the producer of Other Mommy with Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Executive producers are Macdara Kelleher, Judson Scott, Michael Clear, Ryan Lewis, Josh Malerman, and Rob Savage.
