A24 continues to prepare the audience for what promises to be a chilling experience in theaters, one that will take you to disconnect from reality, and enter another place.
The most recent in the marketing campaign are three new looks behind the sceneswhich allow us to observe the design of the set a little better, faithful to the source material.

By the way, the project marks Parsons' debut as a feature film director, but also, at only 20 years old, he becomes the youngest director of an A24 project.
The main cast is headed by Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Life of Chuck), Find Bennett (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Lukita Maxwell (Shrinking), Mark Duplass (The Morning Show) y Avan Jogi (Zombieland: Double Tap).
Backrooms adapts the found footage horror universe that Parsons popularized on YouTube, which in turn was inspired by a 4chan creepypasta. His anthology series premiered in 2022 on YouTube, accumulating 200 million views, and focuses on the story of a therapist who searches for her patient, who mysteriously disappeared in a dimension beyond reality..
Parsons directs the script written by Will Soodik (Ash vs Evil Dead, Westworld, Homeland).
The adaptation is produced by A24, Atomic Monster of James Wan, 21 Laps Entertainment of Shawn Levyy Chernin Entertainment.
A24 and Chernin Entertainment are also co-financiers.
James Wan, Michael Clear, and Shawn Levy are producing alongside Robert Patino, Dan Cohen, Dan Levine, and Chris Ferguson. Executive producers are Judson Scott, Alayna Glasthal, and Chris White.
The feature film was produced in Canada in the summer of 2025.
