For your bean tutu to be delicious, use the ingredients from the list below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.


  • 1 cup of raw beans

  • 3 tablespoons cornmeal or as needed to thicken

  • 1 cup fried bacon

  • 1/2 large chopped onion

  • 3 minced garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup chopped olives

  • green smell to taste

  • salt to taste

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 1 tablespoon lard or 2 tablespoons soy oil


  • In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup of hot water;
  • Add 1 cup of raw beans;
  • Add 3 bay leaves;
  • Leave on pressure for 40 minutes;
  • In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of lard or 2 tablespoons of soy oil;
  • Add salt to taste;
  • Add 3 minced garlic cloves;
  • Add half a ladle of beans, without the broth;
  • Mash the beans;
  • Transfer everything to the pressure cooker;
  • Add 1 cup of fried bacon;
  • Add 3 tablespoons of cornmeal (or as needed to thicken) little by little, while mixing;
  • Add parsley and chives;
  • Add 1/2 large chopped onion;
  • Add 1/2 cup of chopped olives;
