After launching a TV spot for Super Bowl LVII, the marketing campaign for Nintendo e Illumination Studios for the animated tape The Super Mario Bros. Moviecontinues with the release of another new poster focused on Bowser, whose voice is provided by Jack Blackwhich you find at the end of the note.
The animated film will be released in theaters on April 7, 2023.
The Story follows brothers Mario and Luigi as two real-world plumbers who are transported to the Mushroom Kingdom and find themselves embroiled in an epic adventure.. The film stars the voices of Chris Pratt like Mario, Charlie Day like Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy like Princess Peach like Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key like Toad, Seth Rogen like Donkey Kong, and Fred Armisen like Cranky Kong.
The audiovisual material revealed so far makes references to the Super Mario video game franchise, including more members of the Kong family, and other Super Mario enemies. Even in one of the official trailers, we saw Princess Peach say: “There is a huge universe out there, with many galaxies,” which could well refer to more films based on Nintendo games, or be a direct reference to Super Mario Galaxy, released on Nintendo Wii on November 1, 2007, with great worldwide reception. By March 2022, Nintendo had sold nearly 13 million copies of the game globally, and it is currently the sixth highest rated game on Metacritic at 97%.
The direction is in charge of Aaron Horvath y Michael Jelenic; both have directed episodes of the series Teen Titans Go!, Horvath also directed the film alone. Teen Titans Go! To the Movies. The duo directs the script written by Matthew Fogel (Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, The Lego Movie 2, Minions: The Rise of Gru).
