Ingredients
- Cigar
600 grams of minced meat
1/2 cup (tea) of rice
1 onion
4 cloves of garlic
10 cabbage leaves
red pepper to taste
yellow pepper to taste
Black pepper to taste
dehydrated parsley to taste
paprika to taste
color to taste
salt to taste
Oil
- Sauce
300 grams of tomato sauce
300 ml of water
1/2 onion
salt to taste
Directions
- In a frying pan or large pan put a little oil and spread it evenly.Â
Add the minced garlic and sauté without stopping to stir until it starts to brown.Â
Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, always stirring well. - Add the chopped peppers to the mixture and stir while cooking for another 1 to 2 minutes.Â
Add the ground beef and break up the lumps with a spoon or spatula.Â
Cook, stirring constantly, until the meat starts to brown.Â
Season with dehydrated parsley, black pepper, paprika, paprika and salt to taste, mix well and cover. - Let it simmer with the lid on for a few minutes.Â
Then add the raw and washed rice, the chopped green smell, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes with the lid on.Â
Remove and discard the cabbage stalk, place the vegetable in a pan with water until covered and cook until the leaves begin to soften. - Separate the cabbage leaves, open them and stuff each one with a little of the meat and vegetable mixture.Â
Fold the leaves in one direction and then in the other direction, forming the cigars. - To make the sauce, place in a pan a little oil or olive oil, the 1/2 chopped onion and sauté a little without stopping to stir.Â
Add tomato sauce, water, salt to taste and mix.Â
Add some cabbage leaves to line the bottom and then arrange the cigars side by side on top. - Cover and cook the cigars in the sauce for about 30 minutes over medium heat.Â
Finish by adding chopped parsley to taste on top and the cabbage cigar recipe is ready to serve.
