Now available in theaters in the US and Canada, the arthouse slasher In a Violent Naturefrom the study IFC Films and the streamer Shuddercontinue to release marketing campaign material, the most recent being a promotional clip which shows the first look at a sequence from the film, which find by clicking here.

The film by the writer and director Chris Nash (The ABCs of Death 2), emerged as one of the most acclaimed films at Sundance 2024, where it was classified as a brutal horror project.

The plot of In a Violent Naturerevolves around “The enigmatic resurrection, rampage and retribution of an undead monster in a remote desert unleashes a new iconic killer.”

One of the first characteristics that draw attention to this project is that It is told from the murderer's point of view..

SYNOPSIS:

“When a reliquary is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs Johnny's rotting corpse, a vengeful spirit spurred by a horrible crime that occurred 60 years ago, resurrects his body and sets out to recover it. The undead golem zeroes in on the group of vacationing teenagers responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in its mission to recover it, along with anyone who stands in its way.”

The cast is headed by Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone, Charlotte Creaghan, Lea Rose Sebastianis, Sam Roulston, Alexander Oliver y Lauren Taylor.

IFC Films will release In a Violent Nature in theaters on May 31, 2024 (USA). In Mexico and the rest of Latin America we hope to know its distributor and launch.
