minutesFor your Chicken Pancake to be very tasty, use the ingredients below and follow the instructions for preparation.
Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup of milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
1 small chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 chopped red bell pepper (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of tomato sauce
grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
Directions
- In a bowl, combine wheat flour, milk, egg, vegetable oil and salt.
Beat well until you get a smooth and homogeneous mass.
Let rest for about 10 minutes. - While the dough is resting, prepare the chicken filling.
In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until soft and lightly browned. - Add the shredded chicken and red bell pepper to the pan and sauté for a few minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the tomato sauce and cook for a few more minutes, until the stuffing is heated through. - In a nonstick skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat.
Pour about 1/4 cup of the pancake batter into the skillet and spread evenly. - Cook the pancake for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Repeat the process until you finish all the dough. - To assemble the pancakes, place a portion of the chicken filling in the center of each pancake and fold the edges to form an envelope.
If desired, sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top. - Serve the chicken pancakes warm and enjoy!
