In addition to cakes, this chocolate frosting combines with ice cream, pies, mousses and several other desserts!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water (tea)

  • 2 cups (tea) granulated sugar

  • 5 tablespoons cocoa powder

Directions

  • In a container put the hot water and chocolate powder. 
    Mix until the ingredients come together and set aside. 
    Add sugar to a pan and place over medium heat. 
    Stir constantly until melted and caramelized.
  • Gradually add the chocolate mixture and keep stirring non-stop until all the sugar dissolves. 
    Cook for another 5 minutes, always stirring well.
  • Turn off the heat, wait for the syrup to cool to room temperature and the plain chocolate syrup is ready to be used in cakes and other desserts that you prefer.Chocolate Icing for Cake
