Christopher Landondirector of Happy Death Day, y Freakypresent this year the Mystery thriller Dropwhose first trailer released this week, made clear to the audience that the first appointments can be a nightmare.
The project of the Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes producing companies, and the Universal Pictures study, is starring Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, The Bold Type) like Violet, a widow with a young son who returns to the world of appointments.
His first appointment is with Henry (Brandon Sklenar of It Ends With Us) In an elegant restaurant. Things are going well until anonymous threats begin to arrive on Violet's phone through its Airdrop, which means that the sender is somewhere in the establishment. The messages warn that they will kill their family if you don't kill Henry first.
The Universal Marketing campaign reveals a first look behind scenes in which Landon tells the audience the film's premise, as well as Violet details such as the “Being a complex character, a single mother, who opens up to the idea of romance and love for what agrees to go to the event, which has it very nervous because it has a very dark past, but has the courage to accept the invitation.”
To escape the situation and save the life of his little son, Violet must kill his appointment.
Landon explains what is the difference between its previous projects, Happy Death Day y Freakyy Drop:
“In Drop We use comedy in moderation but effectively. I wrote a movie called Disturbiawhat was Hitchcok style through John Hughes, This felt like the evolution of such film, is a mixture between Hitchcock and a thriller of the 90s, but is using very modern technology.”
