Ingredients
5 cups (tea) wheat flour (550 grams)
4 tablespoons of sugar
3 whole eggs
1 and 1/2 tablespoons of dry biological yeast (15 grams)
1 can of canned green corn without water (200 grams)
1 spoon (coffee) of salt (03 grams)
1/2 cup (tea) of butter or margarine (100 grams)
1/2 cup (tea) of milk (120 ml)
1/2 cup cornmeal (60 grams)
Directions
- Add the drained corn, eggs, sugar, butter or margarine, milk and yeast to a blender.
Hit for 2 minutes and book.
In a separate container, place the cornmeal, wheat flour and salt.
Add the blender mix and mix very well until you can’t move the spoon anymore. - Transfer the dough to a clean, floured countertop.
Start kneading and add the flour little by little.
Continue kneading the dough until it is smooth and does not stick when touched.
Place the dough in a bowl, cover with a clean cloth and let rest for 30 minutes. - Return the dough to a floured surface and cut it into two pieces.
Open the dough with a roll in the width of your shape, roll the dough in the shape of a rocambole and cut each one every 2 fingers.
Line up the cuts in the greased and floured mold, cover and let rest for another 20 minutes. - After the dough rests brush water over it and then sprinkle cornmeal.
Place in a preheated oven at 200º₢ and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top starts to brown.
Wait for the bread to cool before unmolding and the cornbread recipe is ready.
