Ingredients
2 cups of cornmeal
1 cup wheat flour
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1 pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour, sugar and salt.
- Add the milk, oil and eggs to the dry mixture.Â
Stir well until you get a homogeneous mass. - Lastly, add the baking powder and mix gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
- Serve the cornmeal cake in slices and enjoy!
