We are already facing the theatrical release of the highly anticipated film adaptation of the popular horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’sfrom the screenwriter and director Emma Tammi (The Wind), and the studies Universal Pictures y Blumhouse.
That is why the marketing campaign is intensifying, launching a new featurette, which offers a look at the film made “For the fans.”
Tammi explains:
“We wanted to make sure we did justice to the fans in every decision we made, they were the first thing we thought about”
The producer Jason Blum keep going:
“What sets this film apart from others is the care that has been put into the story to create something based on a beloved game.”
The videogame Five Nights at Freddy’s is a creation of Scott Cawthonwho worked on the development of the adaptation as a producer, and co-writer with Tammi and Seth Cuddebackafter Blumhouse acquired the rights in 2015, and it officially went live in February 2018.
Josh Hutcherson (saga Hunger Games), who plays the lead role as security guard Mike Schmidt, joins the conversation:
“Scott Cawthon is very involved, and he’s watching every take. “Fans of the video game can rest assured that we take care of its world, its game and the characters.”
The co-star Matthew Lillard (Scream, Thir13en Ghosts) adds:
“There is a lot of attention to detail. “This movie is going to make the fans very happy… we have an incredible legion of fans… and I think one of the most exciting things is that we are making this movie for them, and I think they are going to respond to that.”

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he starts working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. As he spends his first night on the job, he realizes that the night shift won’t be so easy to get through. The objective is Try to survive five nights as a night security guard at the aforementioned pizzeria, and avoid being caught by one of the animatronics of the establishment that come to life in a place very similar to Chuck E. Cheese.”

The cast is completed Elizabeth Lail (You, Countdown), Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of Wonderful, Daniel Isn’t Real) as the villain, Piper Rubio (How We Roll) plays Abby, Mike Schmidt’s little sister, and Kat Conner Sterling (The Gifted, 9-1-1, The Resident).
Blumhouse is producing the feature film, in association with Striker Entertainment. Cawthon and Blum are producers, with Russell Binder serving as executive producer.
Universal Pictures set the premiere of FNAF in theaters on October 26 in Mexico/all of Latin America, and on October 27 in the US. (where it will also premiere simultaneously on Peacock).
