Synopsis: The beloved band of Guardians settles in Knowhere. But it doesn’t take long for their lives to be upended by the echoes of Rocket’s troubled past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must assemble his team on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life, a mission that, if not completed successfully, could very possibly drive to the end of Guardians as we know them.
James Gunn goes back to work to bring us the third installment of the well-known Marvel saga and the truth is that this is to be appreciated since it most likely brings us one of the best trilogies in the Marvel universe, in which adapt all characters with his characteristic style.
Here we are before the latest installment of the “Guardians of the Galaxy”, and although that may make us a little sad, they are back for tell us the origin of “Rocket”; a character who has been through a lot and who is still moving forward with a painful, tragic and sad past; while the guardians complete their new mission.
There are many aspects to highlight, among them realism in virtually every scene, taking more care of the special effects, in addition to the very well achieved balance between the scenes of comedy, drama and, of course, the action. We must also highlight the soundtrack.
Obviously not everything is good can be a bit slow at timeswith a little lack of rhythm in certain scenes and probably a few minutes left over in its duration, it should also be mentioned that sometimes it commits the sin of becoming predictable, but luckily that’s not the rule in the movie.
We can notice a very clear evolution in all characters who are part of this group, even becoming fond of one, or several, which is why we must also highlight the performances, from the funny Chris Pratt, to the performances of Karen Gillan, Dave Baustita, Zoe Zaldana, Pom Klementieff and including new characters in performances by Will Poulter and Nathan Fillion, the chemistry between all of them works great.
In conclusion, the movie offers us an extraordinary experience of pure entertainmentwhere there are great protagonists such as action, emotion and even laughter and tears too, a whole world of sensations but after all an enjoyment from the beginning to the end.
