Drop Nineteens «Scapa Flow» – I’m doing a shoegaze double today, on the occasion of the memorable comeback of the British music legend, who is going public with new material for the first time after a 30-year break. The new single turned out really well (and that’s not something to be taken for granted after such a long break) and makes you want more.
SPOOL «sway,fadeaway» – this trio (now a quartet) comes from Japan and has been playing their Western band-influenced shoegaze for many years, which is wonderfully atmospheric. This is one of her early songs, her last album was released at the end of 2022.
