European target of Flamengo viralizes after post: 'Tá dug'

After hitting Saúl ñíguez, Samuel Lino, Emerson Royal and Carrascal, Flamengo follows in the market in search of reinforcements and had Lucas Beltrán as one of the targets for the attack of Filipe Luís team. The 24-year-old Fiorentina striker viralized on Monday after posting with the text “never giving up”.

The phrase was pointed out by some Flamengo fans as a ride to come to Brazil, due to the language. The caption, however, also exists in Spanish, Beltrán's native language. A part of the red-black also pointed out that the message of the post is that the player wants to follow in European football.

In two years in Fiorentina, the striker played 98 games, scored 16 goals and distributed seven assists. Lucas Beltrán, current Italian team shirt 9, showed versatility as he acts as a half in various matches and would arrive to add forces in the Flamengo attack, especially alongside Pedro, a competitor in his origin position.

Formed at the base of River Plate, Beltrán was traded on loan from Argentina's Colón in 2021. A year later, in the middle of 2022, he returned to the forming team and became a substitute for Julián Álvarez, who is now striker of Atletico Madrid.
