Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films revealed the first look at the Live-Action of Masters of the Universeof the director Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings).

The look is a teaser poster that shows the protagonist's hands Nicholas Galitzine (The Idea of You) as He-Man, holding their sword of power in them.

Knight directs the script written by Chris Butler. Previously there was a script draft written by David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee.

“The film follows Prince Adam, ten years old, who crashed on Earth in a spacecraft and separated from his magical power sword, the only link with his home in Eternia. After tracking it almost two decades later, Prince Adam is transported back through the space to defend his native planet against Skeletor's malignant forces.

“But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam must first discover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the universe.”

The film is based on the popular and well -known Mattel toys franchise launched in 1982. In the 80s it had an animated series of a duration of two seasons and 130 episodes, while in 1987 it was first adapted to the big screen in real action, starring Dolph Lundgren. Over time, animated series have had numerous reboots.

Masters of the Universe He was previously developing at Sony Pictures and Netflix, before finishing in the hands of Amazon MGM Studios. It is produced by escape artists and Mattel Films.

Live-action will have a Exclusive premiere in cinemas on June 5, 2026.
