Between series and feature films that represent proposals for all tastes, today it is the turn of talking about an adventure of action, fantasy and mystery for the whole family, Fountain of Youthof the British filmmaker Guy Ritchie.
Ritchie, known for venturing genres such as gangsters and espionage thrillers comedies, takes a turn in its filmography with the project starring Oscar's winner, Natalie Portman (Lady in the Lake, May December), John Krasinski (Jack Ryan, A Quiet Place) and the Mexican Eiza González (Ash, 3 Body Problem).
Ritchie describe Fountain of Youth as “On the line of Indiana Jones, but contemporary.”
The plot follows two distanced brothers, Luke and Charlotte Purde, played by Krasinski and Portman, respectively, who are associated for a global robbery to find the mythical spring of the Fuente de la Juventud.
In the trailer (available below), Krasinski and Portman become two confrontation who fight against villains, get involved in persecutions at full speed and survive the most dangerous climates in the world, all with the hope of finding a “magical pool” at the end of their trip.
The rest of the cast make it up Carmen Ejogo (The Penguin), Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Laz Alonso (The Boys), Arian Moayed (Succession).
Official synopsis:
“The youth source It tells the story of two distanced brothers (John Krasinski and the winner of the Oscar Natalie Portman) who join in a global robbery to find the mythological source of youth. They must use their history knowledge to follow clues in an epic adventure that will change their lives … and possibly lead them to immortality. ”
The script was written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man, Scream 5, Scream 6).
Ritchie's filming was carried out in locations in Egypt, Bangkok, and Vienna, among others.
