Ingredients

  • 500g wheat flour

  • 10g dry yeast

  • 10g of salt

  • 300ml of warm water

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add warm water little by little, stirring constantly until a dough comes together.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Divide the dough into equal pieces and mold into French bread.
  • Place the buns on an oiled baking sheet and let rest again for about 10 minutes.
  • Make cuts in the top of the buns with a sharp knife.
  • Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
  • Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
