From the Bronx projects fight with McGregor at the White House: 'a lot of money'

Ready to challenge for the UFC's BMF (toughest fighter) belt, Charles do Bronx already has the next challenges in mind. The Brazilian reinforced that he would agree to a fight with Irishman Conor McGregor, even outside his category, at the event scheduled to take place at the White House.

— At 77kg, 83kg, 93kg… Everyone knows I'm going, no matter the weight. I'm the truest guy in this game, it's not because of what he is or who I am, it's because of the money, this will make a lot of money. Everyone wants that. It doesn't matter (the category), if he says he wants to, I'll just sign the contract – said Charles, who currently fights in the lightweight category (up to 70.3kg).

The ambitious UFC event at the White House is scheduled for June 14th and, according to the organization's CEO, Dana White, it is expected to be “the most watched show in history”.

From the Bronx sees BMF as a legacy

On Thursday night (26), Charles do Bronx held a press conference and answered questions from fans before heading to Las Vegas and fighting for the BMF belt against Max Holloway. The athlete highlighted his maturity since his first fight against the Hawaiian, in 2015, and believes that the victory will reinforce the current level of his career.

— The progress I've made, in my standing, in my jiu-jistu, in the sport, will definitely help me put on a great fight against Max and come away with victory. But this belt speaks louder about legacy, about what I've been saying about having opportunities, being bigger and bigger, I think about that a lot. Being BMF champion increases my legacy much more – he said.
