Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples

  • 4 small or 3 large eggs

  • 120 grams of melted butter

  • 2/3 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 1 cup wheat flour (tea)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon(s) cinnamon powder

  • 1 tablespoon chemical yeast

  • Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling (optional)

Directions

  • In a container add the wheat flour, yeast and 2/3 cup of sugar, stir well and set aside.
  • Add the eggs and 1 tablespoon of sugar in another container, beat very well and set aside too.
  • Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut the fruit into slices that are neither too thick nor too thin.
  • Put the sliced ​​apples in a container, add the cinnamon powder and mix well.
  • Melt the butter and set aside. 
    Arrange the apples in a greased baking dish, then spread the flour, yeast and sugar mixture on top.
  • Pour over the melted butter using a spoon and then add the beaten eggs.
  • Bake the pie for approximately 40 to 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 180º₢.
  • Wait for the German apple pie to cool down before unmolding it, finish sprinkling icing sugar on top and the dessert is ready to serve.
