Hollywood's veteran mega star, Glenn Closey Kerry Washington (Scandal), are the most recent signings, adding to the return of Daniel Craig –like Detective Benoit Blanc– and the new additions, Cailee Spaeny (Civil War, Alien: Romulus), Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), y Andrew Scott (Fleabag, All of Us Strangers).

Wake Up Dead Man will premiere in Netflix in 2025with a plot that will develop “Benoit Blanc's most dangerous case so far.”
This week, Johnson shared the following on his Twitter/X:
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There's a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc films.
“We're about to start production on the third and I'm very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it's headed.”
The so-called “whodunit cinema” had a kind of resurgence with the premiere of the first film, which became the second highest-grossing original film of the year 2019, in addition to having earned the recognition of critics and the audience, and that of colleagues in the film industry, being recognized with an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay (Johnson).
