This classic Green Goddess dressing is a smooth, luscious blend of herbs, tangy citrus, and savory goodness, delivering a refreshing and bold flavor that elevates any dish instantly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)

  • 1 cup fresh herbs (parsley, chives, basil, and/or tarragon)

  • 2 anchovy fillets (optional, for depth)

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2–3 tbsp water (to thin, as needed)

Directions

  • Add mayonnaise, sour cream (or yogurt), herbs, anchovies (if using), garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until smooth and vibrant green.
  • Slowly drizzle in olive oil while blending to create a creamy consistency.
  • Add water a little at a time until desired thickness is reached.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
