Without a doubt, one of the television projects that maintain the audience this year with greater expectation is IT: Welcome to Derrya Precuela series of the two films ITwith the return of the director of both deliveries, Andy Muschiettiand that of Bill Skarsgård as the Pennywise antagonist.
The series that will extend to the small screen the world of the clown created by Stephen KingIt is a production HBOwith Andy Muschietti and his sister Bárbara Muschietti as executive producers together with Jason Fuchs y Brad Caleb Kane as Coshowrunners and executive producers. Skarsgård is another executive producers.

Last January, the Muschietti revealed that Three seasons are planned Welcome to Derrythat will be counted in three different times:
It was previously announced that IT: Welcome to Derry its story will begin in 1962in the time before the events of IT: Chapter One (2017). The Series will include the story of the origin of Pennywise The Clownas well as The Dawn of the 27 -year -old curse that stalks the small town of Maine. Inspiration are the interludes written by Mike Hanlon in King's novel.
The potential second and third season – which will obtain official green light depending on the success of the first – will retreat over time and will be set in different times. Andy Muschietti explained that “It is a story that is based on the interludes of the book. Interludes are basically chapters that reflect Mike Hanlon's investigation. They are fragments of your research. For 27 years, it is the guy who tries to find out what it is, what he did, who did it, who saw it and all that. So They talk about catastrophic events of the past, such as the fire in Black Spot … The Bradley band massacre, a band of banks thieves in the 30s … and the Kitchener Ironworks explosion. Every time [Pennywise] It leaves hibernation, there is a catastrophic event that happens at the beginning of that cycle. “We are based on the three seasons of this series on each of these catastrophic events.”
Muschietti said that “There is a reason why the story tells the other way around. So, the first season is 1962, the second season is 1935 and the third season is 1908.”
Fuchs Copodujo IT: Chapter Two; Andy directed both adaptations of 2017 and 2019, while Barbara produced them. The Muschietti brothers with Fuchs developed the history of the series, with Fuchs such as the screenwriter. Andy Muschietti directs four of the nine episodes of the first season.
