This Italian Bread recipe is very simple and easy to make, check out the ingredients used and follow the instructions for preparation.

Ingredients

  • 500g wheat flour

  • 10g of salt

  • 10g of sugar

  • 10g dry yeast

  • 350ml of warm water

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and sugar.
  • In another bowl, mix yeast with warm water until completely dissolved.
  • Add the water and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well until you get a homogeneous dough.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts and mold each of them into Italian bread.
  • Place the buns on an oiled baking sheet and let rest for another 15 minutes.
  • Make cuts on the surface of the buns with a sharp knife, forming a decorative pattern.
  • Bake the buns in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
