Italian straw is perfect for anyone looking for a tasty and very easy dessert option!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of condensed milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

  • 120 grams of chocolate biscuits/cookies

  • Sugar for sprinkling the Italian straw

Directions

  • Chop the cookies/cookies into small pieces and set aside. 
    In a pan, add the condensed milk, butter or margarine and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture has the consistency of brigadeiro and comes away from the pan when you use a spoon.
  • Add the chopped biscuits to the pan and keep stirring until a dough forms. 
    Spread on a plate, platter or refractory and take to the fridge for at least 2 hours, until the candy is firm. 
    Cut the Italian straw into squares, roll it in sugar and the dessert is ready.
