What was promised is a debt, and just as it had been announced, Warner Bros. revealed a few moments ago the first full trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (before Beetlejuice 2), sequel to the 1988 cult classic Tim Burton.

“Can the living and the dead coexist?” That is what will be discovered in the new installment that features the return of Michael Keaton, Catherine O'Haray Winona Ryderreprising their roles as Beetlejuice, Lydia Deetz, and Delia Deetz, respectively.

They are added Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream VI), Justin Theroux (The Leftovers, The Mosquito Coast), Monica Bellucci (Malena, Mafia Mom), y Willem Dafoe (Poor Things, The Northman). Ortega plays Astrid, the daughter of Lydia Deetz (Ryder), Theroux plays Rory, who we see for the first time in the trailer, Bellucci plays Beetlejuice's wife, and Dafoe plays a B-class action star, who after his death, he becomes a police officer or a supernatural detective.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to their home in Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the city in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his own kind of chaos.

La love original, Beetlejuice, followed the spirits of a deceased couple who are harassed by an unbearable family who have moved into their house. The pair hire a malicious spirit in Beetlejuice to drive them out. Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O'Hara starred in the film that grossed more than $75 million at the global box office (not adjusted for inflation).

Of Keaton reprising his iconic role, Burton called it “a strange out-of-body experience”:

“He just did it again. It was a little scary for someone who maybe wasn't too interested in doing it. It was such a beautiful thing for me to see the whole cast, but he, like a demonic possession, just did it again.”

Burton directs from a script by Mike Vukadinovich, with drafts by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg. Burton, Katzenberg, and Grahame-Smith produce the feature.

Danny Elfman He also returns as composer of the original soundtrack.

WB set the premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in theaters on September 6, 2024.
